Last Saturday, we took the new Bugaboo Buffalo to the country and visited beautiful Centennial Vineyards in the Southern Highlands for a bit of cow spotting and wine buying before dropping little Sunny with her (local) grandparents for the afternoon. Mark and I then totally over-indulged with a degustation lunch at beautiful Biota Dining. We first visited two years ago, and our experience the second time around was just as good (if not better). Apart from catching up with two very cute geese, it's obvious that the kitchen really supports local farmers and growers, and I tasted flavour combinations I wouldn't dream of...eg, blueberries, lavender and fennel with verbena sorbet, vanilla crème and iced chlorophyll (above). Seriously delicious!
